General Site Rules

We are a PG-13 to R (For violence and themes ONLY) rated site.

We promote creativity, however you must be mature enough to decide what is appropriate or what is inappropriate for the site. I do not wish to stifle anyone's creative powers and would much rather encourage them, but for the sake of ProBoards policy, I would ask that before you think of any plot-idea that may be controversial or upsetting to other people, please run it by me first.

No graphic sexual interactions. It is fine for your characters to love each other but please - spare us the graphic drivel. The most mature, loving roleplay sessions do not need to resort to smut to simulate love.

No threatening other people or using discriminatory words to slander their religion/race/sexual orientation/etc. Hate will not be tolerated on this site; so if you don't like it then either grow up and tolerate it or leave. No one is going to stop you from leaving a place you don't like.

Harassment and spam will not be tolerated.

DO NOT POWERPLAY OR GOD-MOD. Unless you have another person's permission, I do not want to see anyone take another person's characters and move them IC without reason.
Powerplay/God-mod (For those of you who do not know) is controlling and roleplaying with another person's characters.

No one can seriously injure or kill another character without permission - end of story. However, if you misbehave, you may find that your characters will be killed instead of deposited in the "Inactive Bios" section.

Keep all arguments and fights off of the main boards. If you have a problem with someone, become civilized adults and sort it out between yourselves. There is enough drama for us all, we don't need yours along with it. If the fighting is getting out of hand, however, an admin will step in and the consequences will not be pretty.

No Chatspeak. Please, use proper grammar and use the spell-check button. You will receive a warning if you do not use it - since it is available to you.

General Character Rules
You may have as many characters as you want, if you can be active with them all.
At the moment, a person can have only one high position. This includes: Chieftains, alphas of wolf packs, leaders of cat-clans, flocks, herds, etc. A full listing will be available shortly.
Do not plagiarize, copy, or steal another persons' characters for your own personal use.
You may have characters in more than one thread, three different threads at the most, however.
**All in-character posts must be 150 words, roughly one paragraph. If you write less than that, you will be notified - but if you need help writing, then please, please ask. We will be happy to give you suggestions to meet this criteria.
** The only exception to the 150-word post rule is for battle-threads. From our own experience, the staff at FTW realize that battles comprised of 10+ paragraphs... is tiring. So, whenever your character engages in a battle with another character, you have the option to make one-liner posts when necessary; so do not think you have to scrutinize every detail for your battle threads.
Signatures cannot be larger than 600 x 600 pixels. While we do realize that there are many beautiful signatures and talented signature-designers, our board is quite testy with larger sized sigs. (It ruins the format T_T) If you do have a large sig -- you can link it in your character's bio instead or post it for everyone to see in the Creative corner.

In-depth Character Rules
A human from the country of New Vale [b]must be paired with an Avatar, those who do not have Avatars and are 'native-born' are considered outcasts.
-- The only exceptions are citizens from the countries of Gewalt orKen'Iki-Ja
With that said, a citizen from the countries of Gewalt, Arcadia, and Ken'Iki-Ja do not have Avatars. Please keep in mind that residents from the aforementioned countries look down upon the citizens of New Vale because of their affiliaton with Avatars and Bestial Sovereigns in general...
Humans and their Avatars are allowed to have up to three elements, although -- having one element is seen as advantageous because it is hard to control and even master three different ones. Please consider this when making your character.
Homosexual and heterosexual relationships are allowed, do not have GRAPHIC interactions with either of them. If you feel that a thread is going into a direction that would not be accepted by the majority of the site, please take such actions elsewhere.
Inter Murkcat and Cockcrow relationships are allowed, however the "woman" in the relationship must move with her "husband". So, if it was a Murkcat woman marrying a Cockcrow man, she would have to move to the Cockcrow Citadel.
That being said -- if they refuse this arrangement, there will be consequences.
Inter-species relationships are frowned upon. It is taboo for a human to love a Beast and a Beast to love a human, the same as it is taboo for an Avatar to fall in love with a Bestial Sovereign, even though Avatars and Bestial Sovereigns are the same. And, likewise, it is very unlikely that Beasts of any different species will come together in a relationship; a Wolf and a Dog might, however, pride within their own species may create some aminosity.
If characters breech these rules there will be consequences for them in store! ( ;3 Which pretty much means, go wild with your plotting xD)
Mates:
- Weddings (For humans) can be arranged -- only if you contact an admin first so that it can be made official. Weddings will involve the whole site, so everyone will be involved.
- Mates for animals do not require much ceremony, but please PM an admin to list your couple in the "Mates/Spouses" thread. (Also keep in mind the consequences of inter-species drama ;U )
Pregnancies and births:
If you wish for your characters to have offspring, please PM an admin first. (More in-depth description of the process will be described in the Litters board)
